Cazal Eyewear
Cazal 6004 has the vintage look of the legendary Cazal model 607. It is available as a sun or optical style, and comes in black/gold, black/matt silver or amber/gold. All the new edition Cazal sunglasses tend to be extremely sought after, given the heritage of the label, the quality, and the label’s ability to bring iconic DNA to all its shades. This style is deeply rooted in the legacy of the legendary designer Cari Zalloni (1937-2012) and it’s one more Cazal design you will see in years to come. This is a label that is loved by vintage specialists around the world – and anyone who has taken an interest in eyewear history. Always one we like to revisit. www.cazal-eyewear.com CN

Coppe+Sid
A beautiful classic frame for men, this new style from Coppe+Sid expresses design harmony, strength and elegance. The luminous effect is achieved by mixing solid acetate block colour with translucent tones. Attention to detail is very important at Coppe+Sid, and this beautifully crafted frame made in Italy is a lovely example. Available at London’s Mallon & Taub – www.mallonandtaub.com - and selected retailers. www.coppeandsid.com JG

Boz Eyewear
The French label BOZ has some quirky upbeat treats coming for 2013, and here is one of their most exciting new shapes. The turquoise is laid over panther print. The design – both the butterfly shape and glam colours – are the combo for dressing up! Gorgeous and very original in the bright colour selections we have seen, and the super elegant white with panther is also very tempting. BOZ has other must-haves in this line if you love feminine statement pieces – I have fallen for the curvy pink version of Spice 8000. www.boz-eyewear.com CN

Frency & Mercury
Japanese acetate and pure titanium create an effective duo in this handsome Italian Olive and gold sunglass design. There is a hint of retro in the shape, combined with a contemporary edge in the temple details, and the ‘grill’ effect on titanium, highlighting the top of the frame and nose bridge. The Seiko lenses are anti-reflex – providing fashion and protection credibility. 2347 Miles Crush is just one of a sleek new collection from Frency & Mercury. www.dualview.it JG

Anne et Valentin
Dallas is a little gem of a design for 2013, and one of probably 20 or 30 styles I saw in Paris that showed that creativity is really at a very high level in the ‘design’ collections for the coming year. An aviator with a 3-d bar at the top, highlighting the brow, which is inventive and yet simple, this sunglass style is an outstanding opportunity to wear something timeless and elegant, with a very astute attention to detail and finesse. My favourite colour is the black with jade pictured, and the pale pink with bright neon orange is a super fashion statement for next Spring. CN www.anneetvalentin.com

Wonderglasses
“Music Express” is the theme for the latest collection from the German company Wonderglasses. The cat eye shape is curvy and charming, with striking colour combinations. The gracefulness of the design extends to the distinctive nose piece, and the overall effect is a harmonious blend of sweet and strong. This new Wonderglass collection is also available in a delightful selection of cat eye optical styles. www.wonderglasses.com JG

Christian Roth
Sleek, rectangular and sexy, says Christian, for your ‘Mad Men’ look. Handmade in Japan and signed with the Peace symbol, Christian Roth’s optical line for Autumn/Winter is inspired by his own vintage collection from the 1980s. This frame – Call Me Dan – has a handsome, handmade acetate rim and temple ends combined with a pure titanium chassis. The colours are soft and graduated, here, black with grey tinted crystal, and the titanium has an antique brushed finish which is super trendy for the seasons ahead. I have always loved this iconic brand and this new direction in spectacle design comes highly recommended. www.christian-roth.com CN

Vienna Inspiration from Lafont Paris
Lafont is internationally recognised for their innovative colour interpretations and creative styling. This stunning frame evokes fond memories of viewing decorative arts in Vienna, that richly creative Art Nouveau period in Austrian history that continues to fascinate. Smooth acetate and lacy weave metal in an intricate design creates edgy sunglasses in an unusual colour combo – burnt orange and purple. The perfect enhancer for autumn fashions! www.lafont.com JG
