Buffalo horn by Götti Switzerland: new structural designs released

Two new styles in the Götti natural horn collection are bold and elegant, with an attractive hand-polished sheen

Released for November, the new styles Bautista and Bloom are the latest natural horn additions from the Swiss eyewear label, specialists in the production of fine quality glasses in natural, 3D printed, titanium and acetate materials. With sculpted structures that are thick and bold, the frames are instantly recognisable as natural horn designs, offering one-off colorations and patterns typical of the traditional eyewear material. The finish of the material is enhanced through hand-polishing to leave a subtle glossy finish that is sophisticated with a classical style.

Buffalo horn frames by Götti are a traditional feature of the company’s collections, and have come to be recognised for their particular elegance and refinement bringing together carefully sourced buffalo horn (ethically sourced from domestic animals) and the expertise of artisans working to emphasise the natural qualities of the precious horn material, crafted with the utmost care, to make the frames. JF Rey: perfectly round glasses, deconstructed

The round glasses style JF3024 is a highlight in the new Autumn/Winter collection at the French eyewear brand

The French eyewear label is highlighting their new optical model – JF3024, which plays with the iconic round shaped eyeglass classic, by removing some sections of the thick, flat bold rims. The result is an impactful shape, with an avantgarde air. The colour palette adds to the distinctive graphic effect, with a choice of tones from intense black (our favourite) to refined multi-coloured acetate patterns. The architectural structure created with the cut-out sections which create empty space around parts of the lens are particularly dramatic in black (above).

Made in France in the Jura workshops used by the French brand, the new bold eyeglasses are also proposed with a sun clip (with Category 3 sun lens) which gives an extra futuristic signature to the style – instantly transformed into sunglasses. 3D printed: Quantum High for Autumn/Winter

Ørgreen Optics has created new 3D printed styles with beta titanium temples

The latest cutting edge frames created using 3D printing represent a new chapter in the evolution of advanced frames offering functionality, minimal design and style-driven colour, fused into one. According to the Danish designers at Ørgreen, the technology continues to offer an enticing opportunity to design frames that function differently, that change wearer experience and offer enhanced comfort and fit. With continued focus on innovation, the design company proposes new styles with 3D printed polyamide fronts paired with sleek 1.2 mm wide beta-titanium temples, developed with their own hinge design which is discreet and refined, a nod to the traditions of Danish product design.

High Life by Ørgreen Optics

Mixing a muted palette for the slightly textured polyamide with a touch of vibrancy on the temples creates a series of contemporary colour combinations – highlights include the Happy Lavender tone, close to the trending colour digital lavender – paired with matt gold and matt purple – and an “amber” green that has a brightness which is further enhanced by the shiny gold. FACE A FACE Aalto sunglasses

A new limited edition ‘art piece’ with a striking structure and ‘floating’ lens effect

With temples akin to a two-pronged tuning fork, the new Aalto sunglasses by FACE A FACE are characterised by a striking double hinge design, an exclusive feature they say required particular technical innovation and precision. By balancing their craftsmanship and technological capabilities, the resulting design is imposing and glamorous, with the lines of the frame wrapping curvaceously around the face. Above: model wears the Aalto which references music – in the unusual structure of the ‘tuning fork’ temple and the ‘musical’ name of the frame

Total glamour: Aalto by FACE A FACE – with ‘floating’ lenses was a nominated design in the Silmo D’Or “optical industry” awards

FACE A FACE is always bold and innovative with colour, and combinations are explored with flair in the Aalto design, where a broad choice of pairings include black and patterned black acetate, white and patterned ‘tortoise’ acetate and bright pink with ‘tortoise’ patterned acetate.
