TOL eyewear by Linda Tol is an Amsterdam based design studio creating frames that take inspiration from beautiful things in life: these retro inspired styles are on our wishlist for the season!
From architecture to fine art, fashion (of course!) and the wonderfully ambiguous and inspiring concept of emotion. Each TOL eyewear collection and each single design is ignited by an innate desire to ‘create a new emotion’.
For Spring/Summer, highlights include style ‘Upside Down’, a frame that is representative of this spirit, with a shape that caught our eye. Constructed with temples which rest low on the lenses as though the frame was built ‘upside-down’, the colours are distinctive and typical of the line in nude, burgundy and noir – solid, strong yet neutral options which somewhat offset the unusual structure of the style. Produced in Italian Mazzucchelli acetate – as are all these styles, the design has the added benefit of high-quality, dark tinted ‘Carl Zeiss’ lenses for 100% UV protection. Above: Upside Down in nude by TOL Eyewear – inspired by Linda Tol, retails at 250 euros – the nude tone is special and has a strong fashion feel in this collection

Without doubt, the Alpine sunglasses are also a statement design in this line – and so perfect for now! This frame is bold, chic, and dramatic – but equally versatile and wearable. Oversized sunglasses have been in style since the 1960’s and this modern style harks back to some vintage favourites in a choice of four distinctive colourways of white, noir, clay and nude.
