The annual international optical event takes place from 4th to 6th November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 34th edition of the Hong Kong International Optical Fair will take place from 4th-6th November 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fair will continue to adopt what is described as an “EXHIBITION+ hybrid model”, complemented by “Click2Match”, an online smart business matching platform that will operate from 28th October through to 13th November, providing a convenient and efficient platform for those involved to connect.
For 2026, the fairground will serve as a vibrant crossroads for global eyewear design, optical technology and new innovations, featuring dedicated pavilions for a selection of countries and regions. The Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association (HKOMA) alongside leading exhibitors from the Chinese Mainland will display a variety of optical products. The event is also known for the Brand Name Gallery – which will feature a lineup of international eyewear labels. A special showcase of fresh talent will be presented in the Designer Village (formerly known as the Designer Cafe), while the Innovation Hub will showcase the latest advancements in innovative eyewear technology. Other zones present a range of eyewear products, including Smart Eyewear, Contact Lenses & Accessories, Sporting & Professional Eyewear, Kids Eyewear & Reading Glasses, Lenses, Frames & Parts, Eyewear Accessories, Shop Fittings & Equipment, Diagnostic Instruments, as well as Optometric Instruments, Equipment & Machinery.
Alongside the product showcase, the event will host the 24th Hong Kong International Optometric Symposium, organised by the HKTDC and co-hosted by The Hong Kong Optometric Association and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Taking place on 5th November, this year’s Symposium follows the theme “Primary Eye Care in Action: Elevating Clinical Scope and Community Impact”, which serves as a CPD-accredited programme recognized by the Optometrists Board of Hong Kong.
Seminars on eyewear technology, functional eyewear tailored for the silver market, sustainable eyewear and market trends will also take place. The event also holds popular ‘eyewear parades’ to bring the latest frame designs to life on the runway. To foster Hong Kong’s creativity and innovation, the HKTDC is partnering with HKOMA to organise the 26th Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition, which this year follows the theme “Mix & Match”. Winning and final entries will be on display at the fair for visitors to observe during their visit.
