Cadet by AHLEM brand new for AutumnWinter

For Autumn/Winter, AHLEM has already announced the collection “Echoes of Love”, an extensive new launch of 17 frames, handcrafted in France by MOF (Millers Ouvriers de France)  artisans. The brand has produced an intimate campaign set in a Parisian apartment as a backdrop to this special release. The collection itself includes acetate and metal styles. The Cadet frame pictured beautifully illustrates a revisiting of the aviator shape with relaxed proportions and architectural refinement. Signature “staircase” detailing and hand-hammered temples bring depth to the pared-back classical colour combinations. Find out more at www.ahlemeyewear.com

Ørgreen Optics model Kelven in the Sheet Titanium collection a frame that suits many different audiences

Seven new frames are to be released in the new Sheet Titanium SUN collection by Ørgreen, which showcases the lightness of the Japanese material whilst creating striking designs with an architectural and precise detailing using special techniques of milling and chamfering. Taking our sheet titanium to the sun meant pushing the material as far as it could go, past every boundary of craft,” said Gregers Fastrup, Sales Director, Ørgreen Optics. ” It was a way to test ourselves, to prove again that precision and quality aren’t just words for us; they’re the whole point. We took a flat, humble material and gave it a truly premium expression. For me, this collection is a reminder of exactly what Ørgreen does best.” Find out more at www.orgreenoptics.com

Ochoa in the Special Reserve collection at Erkers 1879 and one of multiple releases for SILMO

The independent eyewear brand from St. Louis, ERKER’S 1879, is to make its first-ever appearance at SILMO Paris. The brand will unveil several special design series including the Flight Collection, a new line inspired by its historic connection to pioneering aviator Charles Lindbergh. In 1927, Lindbergh completed the first solo nonstop flight from New York to Paris wearing aviation goggles crafted by Erkers, according to the company’s historical records. Nearly a century later, the Flight Collection brings that story back to the city where his landmark journey ended, translating an extraordinary piece of the company’s heritage into contemporary eyewear. 18 optical frames and four sunglasses will be revealed – each one carries a signature aviator-cap emblem on the temple tips, created as a tribute to the goggles worn during Lindbergh’s historic journey. Award-winning designers Sandra Kaufmann and Monika Fink, Co-Founders, read on, have announced this morning they will release a new product at the Paris event: read on bold. Described as a striking new concept for the readers market which builds on read on’s existing collection, the new thicker foldaway 4mm reading glasses are characterised by an urban sports design. In a contemporary colour palette of four colours, the collection also caters to wider faces with the availability of a new larger size – which comes in a slightly larger but still supremely thin, convenient, minimal read on case.
