The gesture of sketching, transformed in the frame
The French eyewear label, FACE A FACE is previewing its brand new collection, Marker – showing later in the month at Silmo Paris. The collection plays with contrasts, between boldness and finesse, taking inspiration from the way in which the tip of a marker pen can alternate between precise lines and broad strokes. The effect in the frames is described as “fast, irreverent lines running from one temple to the other, reinventing the contours of the face”.
Exciting colour contrasts add to the effect. The fronts and temples feature bold, almost electric colours, informed by the marks of a highlighter on a freshly drawn sketch. Above: the campaign for Marker, a new line from FACE A FACE – the sculpted two-tone laminated acetate model Soul 2 has a luminous line that frames the eyes

Featuring a bevelled flex temple aligned with a ribbon-style endpiece, the Bocca Twine style is distinguished by beautiful gradient colour where two shades intertwine like alcohol blending in a cocktail – mixing and merging seamlessly. The gradient colours have been created exclusively for the collection, while the technique of angled milling and bonding reveals the constrasting colours.
FACE A FACE will show the full collection at Silmo from 25th to 28th September 2026. Find out more at www.faceaface-paris.com
