Largo

Lesca Lunetier

It was really a pleasure to rediscover Lesca Eyewear and catch up with Joel Lesca and his son Mathieu at the shows this autumn. The collection is authentic vintage, crafted in France, using century old traditions of handwork to achieve luxurious frames. Largo (above) in the colour Tokyo, is a compilation of all that Lesca does so well – gorgeous, superior quality acetate, in a wonderful retro shape –  and a Limited Edition. Valentine

Infinit

Inspired by Hollywood superstars, this pretty modified cat eye frame from the Argentinian label has a feminine shape. It was the animal print that caught my eye; I like this interpretation on the top of the front, with the coordinating design on the side of the temple. This one is the brown, white and leopard version; it also comes in black glitter, one I’d choose for an easy update of my autumn/winter wardrobe. www.infinit.la CN

Fiona

Götti Switzerland

Unique technology – a stainless steel front with a precious metal coating, and the temples in a special epoxy plastic – combine harmoniously in Fiona by Götti Switzerland. The shape is a subtle statement – with an enduring timelessness that Sven Götti creates so perfectly. Fiona features Götti’s patented 360° Spin&Stow system, so the frames fold easily and compactly. Great colours too — shiny silver, lilac matte, shiny gold and black. We are reliably informed that Fiona is a favourite of several New York fashion editors – we understand why! www.gotti.ch JG

Sovereign

Wooden Eyewear from Rolf Spectacles

Cars are a continuing inspiration for the Austrian based eyewear company Rolf Spectacles. For the latest collection, the elegance and beauty of the Daimler – the British car that is a favourite of kings and queens – has influenced the beautifully crafted frames in stunning natural woods, including walnut, bog oak and maple. Sovereign takes its design cue from the classic, unadorned and harmonious lines that have made Daimler an enduring favourite. All Rolf Spectacles frames are handmade with exacting craftsmanship in Tirol Austria. www.rolf-spectacles.com JG

Ella

Desert Inspiration by Isson Australia

The rich, sun drenched colours of the desert are found in the new sunglass collection from Isson in Australia. The flat fronted round shape deepens the dramatic temple volume, and the frames are fitted with aspheric (flat) anti-reflection coated lenses. Designer Catherine Federici has captured the essence of the desert in Ella, with intense colouration and bold shaping. www.isson.com.au JG
