April issue: eye on children’s design

This edition features children’s frames, and nowadays kids love to wear glasses — it’s so grown-up and cool! So for the past weeks, I’ve been researching designers and companies who have children’s collections that kids will enjoy wearing, and that parents will approve of.  Meanwhile, Clodagh has been on a fact-finding mission with her children to check out fun, creative places and shopping ideas for kids in London. We now update Eyestylist regularly – so be sure to check out Boutiques, Design & Inspiration, and City Guides for what’s new and happening in optics and other events during the month, for kids and adults too.  Enjoy! JG

March issue: reporting from London, Paris…and Milan

Welcome to our third  edition where we take a style journey to Milan, as we are visiting MIDO,  the largest exhibition of all optical fairs which takes place in March each year. So a selection of our stories this month focus on Italy.

Meanwhile, due to enthusiastic feedback from our new readers, we will be posting regularly throughout March..we will be picking out some of the exciting pieces we preview in Milan, as well as reporting on what we believe are some of the treats in store for Spring/Summer 2011.

February issue: Inspiration for Spring

Following our launch in January, we have been searching for this month’s inspirational designs, designers, and new launches. The creative possibilities in eyewear are awe-inspiring, and by profiling individual frame designs we are hoping to uncover all kinds of clever solutions and achievements…whether it’s a frame in wood that is free from any components, such as those made by Rolf Spectacles, or a joint or hinge such as the 3Click™ by Sutro, so meticulously conceived that it becomes a key part of the overall aesthetic, as well as the primary functional joint between the frame front and the temples.
