The Mediterranean’s vibrant colours, textures and light effects return as key inspiration in the new proposals by Jisco Style
Jisco Style’s new collection arrives with new colorways inspired by the Mediterranean region, the sea and the natural environment. The frames come in bi- and tri-colour combinations, a mix of materials with a strong lean towards sustainable selections, and feature a palette which is upbeat, luminous and full of bright details. Above: Barcelona brand, Jisco Style, has developed a new collection with all colours inspired by the Mediterranean’s land and sea

The blue palette in eyewear remains bold, audacious and flattering. Jisco Style proposes multiple frames in blue tones inspired by the Mediterranean sea. Details in the acetate such as colour effects that replicate the white foam of the waves are characteristic of the new Steve model, designed for men.

Jisco Style’s Jördis Neubauer told Eyestylist: ” We will also launch a model named Fuego. It comes in a colour range of six combinations, and it is a man’s model with very bold characteristics; the frame looks as if it is quite heavy, but because of our beautiful screwless hinge, we are able to cut the frame so it has a very thin structure, meaning that you have a bold effect with a very nice light weight. This very sleek screwless hinge is patented.”

Model Sarah, the feminine cat eye shape in the new collection, was designed to express the passion of the Jisco designers for the nature of the Mediterranean region. The frame combines a deep red with bright orange and an earthy brown. Find out more about Jisco Style at www.jiscoeyewear.com

Earthquake appeal: Majorelle by Nirvan Javan
Written by Clodagh Norton – Nirvan Javan offers support to Red Cross in Morocco with profits from Majorelle sunglasses being donated to earthquake appeal
Inspired by the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, Nirvan Javan’s Majorelle frame captures the beauty and unique deep blue colour of the iconic building in the famous botanical gardens created by French artist, Jacques Majorelle in the 1940s.
The design, which has been produced in a limited edition, has been informed by different concepts relating to the iconic location. They include the striking architecture, the blue stone and well-known details such as the yellow curtains and window frames, a colour which inspired the sun lenses in this model. Trained in France’s finest embroidery workshops, Satoshi Sekimoto brings delicacy and lightness to the frame through his skill and sense of detail. About Satoshi Sekimoto : Born in Hiroshima, Japan, Sekimoto’s mother, a kimono seamstress, introduced him to ancestral skills at an early age. At the age of 22, Satoshi moved to France and entered the prestigious Maison Lesage school. He then embarked on a career as an independent craftsman, collaborating with leading Haute-Couture houses. In 2015, he was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in Haute-Couture embroidery. In 2022, Satoshi and his partner Laurent founded Maison Sekimoto.
